Gavin Rees (born 10 May 1980) is a Welsh professional boxer. Nicknamed "The Rock", Rees is the current EBU Lightweight Champion, and former WBA super-lightweight World Champion. He is trained by Gary Lockett and in recent weeks Renzo Algieri has been advancing Gavin's performance in the ring with nutritional advice giving Rees a new lease of stamina and power.

Rees lost his World title via TKO loss to Andreas Kotelnik in March 2008. He was well beaten by Kotelnik; the fight ending in the twelfth round via knock-out.

After more than a year out of action, Rees returned to the ring in August 2009 to beat Johnny Greaves in 4 rounds. On December 4, Rees entered the light welterweight prizefighter competition beating Ted Bami in the quarter finals, Jason Cook in the Semi finals and Colin Lynes in the Final to win the £32,000 prize
